Driven by the ideal of providing equal education opportunities for all learners, Emily Foote founded Practice. A former Teach for America corps member, KIPP teacher and education lawyer, Foote embraces technology’s potential to help educators scale great teaching and learning. In her role overseeing all client accounts and learning initiatives at Practice, Foote ensures that each user maximizes the platform’s learning benefits. She also plays an integral role in guiding the platform’s product development. Foote is the co-author of the patented system and method for online interactive learning and feedback that forms the foundation of the Practice platform. Foote holds a bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and a J.D. from Drexel University Law School. In November 2017, Practice was acquired by Instructure, where Foote is now the VP of Customer Engagement.
